The merit and Catchment OAU Admission list have been released on JAMB CAPs for Batch B 2021/2022 Admissions. Please note that not all departments have seen changes yet, as it is a gradual process. Also, those who didn’t meet the cutoff are being transferred to another course read on to know how to check your admission status.

We have confirmed that candidates who met the recently released OAU Post UTME Cutoff Marks for 2021/2022 Batch B Admission Session have started seeing changes on their JAMB CAPs portal. The OAU Admission Processing are processes which follows the release of Post UTME Results and Cutoff marks.

The Central Admission Processing System (JAMB CAPs) is the central system where candidates who met the cutoff marks of an institution are being considered for admission by JAMB.

Various JAMB CAPs Status and their Meaning

Below are different JAMB CAPs Status

A. Not Admitted

This means you have not been considered for admission yet, if you met the cutoff, don’t fret, it’ll change soon.

B. Admission in Progress

Yeah  . This means your admission consideration process have started and will be completed anytime soon. Does this guarantee admission, yes, 99.9%

C. Congratulations, You’ve been offered admission.

This means your admission consideration process has completed. You’ll be required to Accept or Reject this admission. Then you can now proceed to print admission letter. 

I didn’t meet the OAU Cutoff, should I change my Course?

Although most aspirants who didn’t meet the cutoff would love to change their course to another one which they pass its cutoff, but this is not allowed.

The institution can’t allow you to change to another course after seeing your post UTME result and cutoff marks. If it’s before post UTME you changing is possible.

Yet, the school had another system in place to offer another course to candidates who did not meet cutoff but had higher scores enough to be considered into another department that has free spaces left.

How to Access Transfer Admission

To know if you’re being considered for admission on Transfer (another course), login to your CAPs and click on the “Transfer Approval” section. If there is a new course, you’ll be required to Accept or Reject it before further consideration can occur. After accepting, the statuses explained in B and C will occur. After you’ve successfully accepted the admission, you’ll now be required to visit a CBT centre for change of course into the new course which you just accepted admission into.
